327 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if his Department can offer assistance or financial support to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny who has had to travel to the United States to be with their child who is hospitalised following a serious accident and is now in a critical condition; if exceptional needs payment covers this type of situation; if he will investigate the case. The South-Eastern Health Board has responsibility for the provision of services for people resident in County Kilkenny. My Department has forwarded the Deputy's query to the chief executive officer of the board for his consideration and direct reply to the Deputy.
