Ceist:231 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism if he grants funding to any organisation whose membership is secret or unknown; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2876/03]
Written Answers. - Departmental Funding.
My Department provides certain grants for arts and cultural infrastructure and in respect of the sports capital programme. There are agreed published criteria for assessing all applications for these grants. In assessing applications for funding, it would not be normal prac tice to seek details of the full membership of organisations receiving support, but in so far as I am aware, my Department does not provide grants to any organisation whose membership is secret or unknown.
