Vol. 560 No. 4

Written Answers. - Semi-State Sector.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Ceist:

100 Ms B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Transport if he will make a statement on Government plans for the future of the Great Southern Hotel Group. [2742/03]

Jack Wall

Ceist:

169 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Transport the steps he has taken to prevent the privatisation of the Great Southern Hotel Group; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2045/03]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 100 and 169 together.

I refer the Deputies to the most recent reply which I gave in the House on 10 December 2002 in response to previous questions by the Deputies. There is no change in the position outlined in that reply regarding the future of the Great Southern Hotels Group. With regard to the possible sale of the Torc Great Southern Hotel, I refer the Deputies to the joint Aer Rianta-SIPTU statement issued on 14 January 2003.
