Ceist:230 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will instruct the survey branch of his Department to expedite the survey of lands for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [4586/03]

A preliminary survey of the plot in question has been carried out and it has been discovered that the current boundaries of the plot appear to be the result of an amalgamation of five separate plots. The current position on the ground no longer reflects the position that obtained when the former Land Commission, some considerable time ago, published the original list of vested holdings of which this plot once formed part. Neither the person named in the question who is in occupation of the plot or her immediate predecessor purchased the land from the former Land Commission.
