364 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children further to Parliamentary Question No. 324 of 10 December 2002, if he will issue a medical card on health grounds to the person; and the reason the parliamentary question was not answered by the SEHB. [4533/03]
As I informed the Deputy in my original reply to his parliamentary question of 10 December 2002, responsibility for the provision of a medical card in this case is, by legislation, a matter for the chief executive officer of the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer to investigate both the issue raised by the Deputy and the reason for the delay in replying to the original referral, and to reply directly to him.
