400 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Transport if he has been asked by the European Parliament Committee on Petitions to meet with members of the Committee to discuss the report and recommendation of the taxi hardship panel; if he has agreed to meet the delegation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Transport (Mr. Brennan):

I have received a request to meet with a delegation from the European Parliament Committee on Petitions on 3 March 2003 in connection with a petition submitted to the Committee by FAIR, Families Advocate Immediate Redress, in connection with the liberalisation of the Irish taxi industry. I propose to accede to this request.
