I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Neville – the provision of a radiotherapy service in the Mid-Western Health Board area; (2) Deputy Deenihan – the need for the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism to resolve the ongoing dispute between FÁS and the Irish Film Board, which is threatening the provision of training in this very cultural industry; (3) Deputy Olivia Mitchell – the action the Minister for Health and Children is taking to establish clear responsibility for enforcing the law in respect of the practice of medicine by unqualified personnel and to explain and prevent a recurrence of the situation whereby all relevant agencies failed to respond to protect the public from the ministrations of a complete impostor posing as a GP; (4) Deputy Hayes – the need for the Minister for Health and Children, Deputy Martin, to clarify proposed plans for the withdrawal of maternity services from St. Joseph's Hospital in Clonmel, County Tipperary; (5) Deputy Stanton – the position regarding dual enrolment for special needs and autistic children who attend special schools and who also need to be integrated into mainstream primary schools nationally; (6) Deputy Burton – the decision to transfer an electronic copy of departmental records of former residents of institutions to a private charity; (7) Deputy Cowley – the need to re-negotiate the implementation of the Habitats Directive as it applies to the designation of land as SACs and NHAs; (8) Deputy Seán Ryan – the difficulty in operating Part V of the Planning and Development Act 2000 arising from Department of the Environment and Local Government circulars in respect of income limit for eligibility for local authority loans, loan limits of €130,000 and the reluctance of the commercial lending institutions to accept the required claw-back provisions of the scheme which have all resulted in eligible applicants under the scheme being unable to secure a loan; (9) Deputy Crawford – the urgent need to fund the building of Knockconan national school, Emyvale, County Monaghan, as this is part of an overall cross-Border structure depending on other funding agencies, and also to provide funding for the extension and restructuring of the Collegiate secondary school, Monaghan town, to meet health and safety standards; (10) Deputy Keaveney – the delay in the opening of the new Garda station in Muff, County Donegal; and (11) Deputy Enright – the need for the Minister for Education and Science to tell the House when he intends to proceed with the new post-primary schools for the CBS, Portlaoise, and Scoil Chríost Rí, Portlaoise.
