Vol. 562 No. 5

Written Answers - Commonage Ownership.

Paul Connaughton

Ceist:

215 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if the Land Commission owns shares in the Derrymore Commonage at Ahascragh, Ballinasloe, County Galway; if so, if they are for sale; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6596/03]

The commonage at Derrymore is com prised of two adjoining commonages. In 2001 my Department, as successor to the former Land Commission, owned and disposed of eight out of 19 shares and four out of 37 shares, respectively, under the terms of section 8 of the Irish Land Commission (Dissolution) Act 1992. My Department does not have any other shares for sale from this commonage.
