289 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when a dealing for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be finalised, in view of the fact that all information requested has been submitted. [6592/03]
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is an application for first registration. Dealing number D2001SM003431U applies. I understand that, due to the complicated nature of these types of cases, which require an examination of the applicant's entitlement to registration as owner of the property concerned, it is not possible to estimate a date of completion at this time.
I am further informed that notices of the application were served on parties who might have a valid interest in the property on 3 January 2003, and that the notice period has now expired. I am also informed that this application has now been mapped and that, subject to no queries arising, the application should proceed to registration shortly.
I assure the Deputy that the application is receiving attention in the Land Registry and will be completed as soon as possible.
