Vol. 565 No. 2

Written Answers. - Health and Safety Regulations.

Liz McManus

Ceist:

72 Ms McManus asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment following the loss of life at the building site of a company (details supplied) in Bray, if reports had been received by the Health and Safety Authority in relation to the danger of electric cables prior to the fatal accident; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [10557/03]

The reporting and investigating of workplace accidents is a day to day matter for the Health and Safety Authority in which I have no role or function. I have been informed by the Health and Safety Authority that the accident being referred to is presently being investigated and in the light of possible legal proceedings I can offer no further comment.
