Finian McGrath

Ceist:

283 Mr. F. McGrath asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will take urgent action in relation to the new campus complex (details supplied) for 60 residents at Portrane, Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10638/03]

Ceist:

335 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will give details of the planning history of an application (details supplied); if he can confirm that the expected finishing date of October 2004 still remains on target; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11054/03]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 283 and 335 together.

My Department is awaiting submission of the stage five documentation from the Eastern Regional Health Authority. When this documentation is received it will be examined by the professional staff in my Department. My Department is undertaking a mid-term review of the national development plan for the health services. When the review is completed, meetings with individual health boards and the Eastern Regional Health Authority will be held to review their capital priorities for the remainder of the plan. In the meantime, my Department is continuing the planning and construction of capital projects for health boards.

285 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will give an update on the implementation of the hospital plan; the projects that will be completed and initiated in 2003; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10640/03]

My Department is undertaking a mid-term review of the national development plan for the health services. When the review is completed, meetings with individual health boards and the Eastern Regional Health Authority will be held to review their capital priorities for the remainder of 2003 and for the years 2004-06 which relates to the outstanding period for the plan. In the meantime, my Department is continuing to fund ongoing approved capital projects for health boards.
