Vol. 565 No. 3

Written Answers. - Public Transport.

Eamon Gilmore

Ceist:

353 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Transport the steps he intends to take to ensure a public transport service in north-west Donegal, in view of the threatened withdrawal of bus services by a company (details supplied) from routes in the area. [10899/03]

I met last week with the management of the relevant company and they outlined operational difficulties in respect of certain licensed public transport services in north-west Donegal.

I have recently received additional information from the company and it is my intention to explore various options to ensure in so far as possible that public transport services continue to be available to the general public in the areas which may be affected.
