80 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources when he intends to bring proposals to Govern ment to establish TG4 as an independent statutory entity; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10840/03]

Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources (Mr. D. Ahern):

I intend to bring a proposal to Government shortly to give effect to the commitment in the programme for Government in relation to the establishment of TG4 as an independent statutory entity.
