446 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if a person (details supplied) in Dublin 11 will be entitled to the first-time house buyers' grant in respect of their home, the completion of which was delayed due to the builders inability to keep to the original completion deadline; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Applications under the new house grant scheme, which was terminated as and from 14 November 2002, were required to be received in my Department on or before 4 December 2002. As no application was received on or before that date, a new house grant cannot be allowed in this case.
