Ceist:196 Ms Lynch asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his attention has been drawn to reports that a garda who was subject to disciplinary proceedings, since withdrawn, for sending letters to Members of the Houses of the Oireachtas, is still facing disciplinary proceedings over a similar letter sent to an internal Garda magazine (details supplied); if these disciplinary proceedings are still outstanding; his views on whether this is appropriate; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
