Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

John Perry

Ceist:

210 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Sligo has not received a REP scheme payment; if it will be released; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12747/03]

On 25 March my Department received an application for the annual REPS payment from the person named. It is being processed in accordance with the targets set down in the protocol on direct payments to farmers. The protocol sets a target of ten weeks for the processing of annual payment applications in REPS and a further month for the issue of payment.

John Perry

Ceist:

211 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason approval has not been given to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo on the investment aid for alternative enterprise scheme; if it will be processed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12748/03]

The person named is an applicant under the alternative enterprises scheme. The decision that the investment works concerned may proceed is expected to issue shortly. It is a strict condition of the scheme that no grant aid is payable in respect of any works carried out prior to the issue of such approval.

Michael Ring

On 25 February my Department received an application for payment from the person named. It is being processed in accordance with the targets set down in the protocol on direct payments to farmers.
