Ceist:

321 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo was placed on a waiting list for home help by the Western Health Board in view of their advanced years; and if this person can be given home help immediately as a priority case. [13538/03]

As the Deputy will be aware, responsibility for provision of health services in the Mayo area rests with the Western Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply direct to him, as a matter of urgency.
