Ceist:324 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if all of the national acute hospitals comply with the Charter of Rights for Hospital Patients, 1994; and the hospitals which do not comply with the charter. [13573/03]
Written Answers. - Patients' Charter.
Implementation of the standards specified in the patients charter is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the health boards. My Department has not received any significant level of complaints with regard to the charter and its implementation.
However, my Department has requested the regional chief executive of the ERHA and the chief executive officers of the health boards to investigate the position in relation to this matter and to respond directly to the Deputy.
