Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

Denis Naughten

Ceist:

393 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the status of the application with his Department for funding of the Clondra Sewerage Scheme, County Longford; if funding will be approved for the project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13424/03]

The Clondra sewerage scheme has been approved for funding in my Department's water services investment programme 2002 – 2004 under the rural towns and villages initiative.

A design review report for the scheme submitted by Longford County Council is under examination in my Department and will be dealt with as quickly as possible.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

394 Ms B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if there is documentation outstanding from Kerry County Council with regard to the application for the Firies-Scartaglen water scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13428/03]

This scheme is included in my Department's water services investment programme 2002 – 2004 to advance through planning.

The submission of revised contract documents and a water pricing policy report in respect of the scheme is awaited by my Department from Kerry County Council.
