377 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform further to Parliamentary Question No. 164 of 28 February 2002, if he has reached a decision on the need for an inquiry into the miscarriage of justice against a person (details supplied) and its context; the reason for his decision; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have been informed by the Garda authorities that they have written on 26 May to the family of this person who been invited to reply. Therefore, I do not consider that it would be appropriate for me to comment any further on this case at this time.
