Vol. 568 No. 1

Written Answers. - Redundancy Applications.

Mary Upton

Ceist:

206 Dr. Upton asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if she will examine applications for redundancy (details supplied). [15620/03]

My Department has contacted each of the three employees and the employer concerned. It appears that there is disagreement between the employees and the employer concerning the date of notification and the amount of statutory redundancy lump sums due. My Department has advised each of the parties involved that if they cannot reach agreement it is open to the employees to lodge an appeal with the Employment Appeals Tribunal for a determination of the issue under the Redundancy Payments Acts.
