103 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the number of log books issued to anglers within all the regional fisheries boards in 2002 and also in 2003; the number and percentage who returned their log books at the end of each season; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Under the wild salmon and sea trout tagging scheme regulations, the central and regional fisheries boards have the statutory responsibility for issuing salmon and sea trout angler's logbooks. I have asked the chief executive officer of the Central Fisheries Board to provide the Deputy with the information he is seeking.
