104 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of new nursing homes which have been established; the number of additional beds opened as a result of the introduction of the tax incentive scheme for such homes in the 1998 budget; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I presume that the Deputy is referring to the development of new private nursing homes. I wish to inform the Deputy that my Department does not routinely collect information of the type sought by him.
