Vol. 569 No. 1

Request to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 31.

Before coming to the Order of Business, I propose to deal with a number of notices under Standing Order 31 and will call on the Deputies in the order in which they submitted their notices to my office. As Deputy Lynch is not in the Chamber, I call on Deputy Connolly.

I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to discuss an issue of national importance, namely, the need for a dedicated sterling currency pay booth at the toll plaza at the new Drogheda bypass to facilitate the large volume of traffic travelling from Northern Ireland and other sterling areas.

Having considered the matter raised, I rule that it is not in order in accordance with Standing Order 31.
