Vol. 569 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospitals Building Programme.

Michael D. Higgins

Ceist:

220 Mr. M. Higgins asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will report on the overrun of building costs in Tullamore Hospital and the fact that the health board has now cut services to meet these costs; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17970/03]

My Department is not aware of an overrun of building costs or a cut in services in the Regional Hospital at Tullamore. Indeed, my Department is advised by the Midland Health Board that there is no overrun in capital costs, there are no service reductions, and there are no planned bed closures during the summer months.
