Vol. 569 No. 4

Written Answers. - Services for People with Disabilities.

John McGuinness

Ceist:

242 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason after 21 years, the South-Eastern Health Board is indicating that the funding to the school at Camphill, Ballytobin, County Kilkenny, is to be terminated; if the education component of care for children at Camphill, Ballytobin, County Kilkenny, will now be funded in full by another Department under the same conditions; and if he will make a statement on the matter in view of the uncertainty and concern that the situation has now created. [18024/03]

The provision of health related support services for children with disabilities in County Kilkenny is a matter for the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive of the board to investigate this matter and reply directly to the Deputy.
