Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Finian McGrath – the serious staffing situation in Belgrove school, senior boys, Clontarf, Dublin 3; (2) Deputy Upton – the long delay faced by young adults with autism (details supplied) in obtaining assistance through their area health board; (3) Deputy Allen – the loss of over 100 jobs at the Flextronic plant, Dublin Hill, Cork; (4) Deputy Burton – the need for additional classrooms and a PE hall at Castleknock community college as promised since 1998; (5) Deputy John Bruton – the risks to the survival of the rendering industry in the Republic; the risks of spread of animal disease and the breach of EU competition rules arising from recently commenced artificially induced cross-Border trade in offal which has been brought about by decisions of the Minister for Agriculture and Food in regard to subsidy and radical differences in environmental rules governing disposal between Northern Ireland and the Republic to the benefit of renderers in the North; (6) Deputy Morgan – the necessity to bring forward legislation to abolish ground rents; (7) Deputy Gay Mitchell – the reason for the security fee charged to a person (details supplied) on his holiday last year; (8) Deputy Andrews – the closure of Shankill post office and the possible relocation of Blackrock post office.

The matters raised by Deputies Finian McGrath, Burton, Upton and Morgan have been selected for discussion.
