Vol. 570 No. 2

Written Answers. - Television Licences.

John Perry

Ceist:

333 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources if there is a provision in the wireless telegraphy legislation to allow for the issuing of a refund by An Post on the unexpired portion of a television licence when a person relocates from one county to another; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18285/03]

The Television Licences Regulations 2002 provide that the address on a television licence may be amended where the holder of the licence has changed address. There is no legislative provision that allows for a partial refund of a television licence fee.
