384 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has received a representation from a person (details supplied) in County Clare regarding an incident which took place in the accident and emergency department of Ennis General Hospital on 2 June 2003; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18373/03]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

I have received representations in relation to the person named by the Deputy. My Department has referred the matter to the chief executive officer of the Mid-Western Health Board as the board is responsible for the provision of services at Ennis General Hospital.
