395 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of new appointments to senior management posts which have been made in the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the other health boards since 1 January 2003; the cost of same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Responsibility for appointments to senior management posts in the Eastern Regional Health Authority or in other health boards rests with the authority or the appropriate health board. My Department has asked the regional chief executive of the ERHA and the chief executive officer of each health board to investigate the matters raised by the Deputy and a consolidated reply will issue to the Deputy from my Department shortly.
