221 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Health and Children the position regarding the application by a person (details supplied) in County Carlow for a bed at either the Sacred Heart Hospital, Carlow or the District Hospital, Carlow; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19003/03]
As the Deputy will be aware, the responsibility for the provision of health services in the Carlow area rests with the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply direct to him, as a matter of urgency.
