Ceist:

135 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will review his previous decision regarding the application of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 11 for their child to receive individual teaching resource assistance or their school in view of additional information (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19191/03]

An application for resource teaching support for the person referred to by the Deputy was received in my Department on 23 June 2003. My Department is currently processing applications for special educational needs support for the school year 2003-04. The process involves an examination of each application and supporting documentation by the national educational psychological service and schools will be informed of the outcome at the earliest possible date. The application in respect of the child in question will be considered in this context.
