Ceist:328 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the position with regard to applications for naturalisation as an Irish citizen on behalf of persons (details supplied) in County Mayo. [19314/03]
Written Answers. - Naturalisation Applications.
Applications for certificates of naturalisation from the persons referred to by the Deputy were received in the citizenship section of my Department on 5 March 2003. The average processing time of applications for naturalisation is approximately 15 months at the present time. Consequently, it is likely that the applications of the persons concerned will be finalised in the latter half of 2004. As soon as I have reached a decision on the matter, I will inform both the applicants and the Deputy of the outcome.
