Ceist:339 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of extradition proceedings being progressed against Irish nationals resident in Spain. [19482/03]

I have no specific functions under the Extradition Act 1965, as amended, in relation to outgoing extradition requests under Part II of the Act. However, according to the Garda authorities the present position is that two extradition requests have been sent to the Spanish authorities in respect of Irish nationals resident there.
