60 Mr. Naughten asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the names of persons with their correspondence address in County Roscommon who are currently on State boards under the aegis of her Department; the date of their appointment; the duration of their term; the role of each on the board; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [19340/03]
The constitution of State boards is governed by statute and I am obliged to make many appointments based on the nominations, which I receive from the various nominating bodies. Nominations are based on an individual's expertise and experience in a particular area. I have made a number of appointments since coming to office, but I have not appointed any person solely on the basis of their geographic location.
I am not aware of any member of a State board who has a correspondence address in County Roscommon.
