Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Bernard J. Durkan

Ceist:

91 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if all payments of premia or aid due to farmers are paid up to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19497/03]

Payments under the 2002 disadvantaged areas compensatory allowance scheme, the livestock premia schemes and the arable aid scheme have been made to all farmers who have established eligibility to date. Outstanding cases will be paid as soon as possible after queries on them have been satisfactorily resolved. It is estimated that in the region of 98% of total moneys due under all the schemes mentioned has been paid to date. The amount paid is over €1,312 million and compares with a figure of €1,147 million in respect of the 2001 schemes at this time last year.
