280 Mr. F. McGrath asked the Minister for Defence if he will issue a posthumous apology to a person (details supplied) on behalf of the Government and end this episode in order that the family can move on with their lives and the Irish people know the truth in this case. [19832/03]

The Taoiseach's statement and his conduct on the death of the individual in question made clear his position. In light of existing legal proceedings and the rights of third parties, no further comment can be made on the matter.
