933 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason for the delay in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Carlow who is waiting for back surgery at Waterford Hospital; and if the surgery can be expedited in this case. [20497/03]

The provision of services at Waterford Regional Hospital is a matter for the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer of the board to reply directly to the Deputy.
