962 Mr. P. McGrath asked the Minister for Health and Children the progress which has been made in relation to the promised additional 12 beds at Mullingar General Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20635/03]
Responsibility for the provision of services at the Midland Regional Hospital at Mullingar rests with the Midland Health Board. My Department is in receipt of a request from the Midland Health Board to increase capacity at Mullingar General Hospital. This request is being considered.
