Vol. 571 No. 1

Written Answers. - Drug Treatment Services.

Tony Gregory

Ceist:

1001 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health and Children the numbers on the waiting list for a detox or maintenance programme at the Ashling Clinic, Ballyfermot, Dublin 20; the reason a person (details supplied) in Dublin 20 could not be given an appointment date until April 2004; if they can be assisted as a matter of urgency; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21039/03]

The provision of drug treatment services is the statutory responsibility of the health boards. With regard treatment of the person in Dublin 20 referred to by the Deputy my Department has requested the chief executive of the South Western Area Health Board to look into the matter and to reply directly to the deputy.

Question No. 1002 answered with Question No. 799.
