1241 Mr. Cuffe asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he has appointed a person (details supplied) onto the board of the Equality Authority; and if his attention has been drawn to this person's opposition to gay marriages. [21322/03]
I can confirm that the person in question was among those appointed by me to the board of the Equality Authority following the expiry of the term of office of the first board. I am satisfied that in common with all appointments made by me to State boards, the person in question will serve to the best of his ability to deliver the statutory remit set out for the board.
