The RAPID programme, Revitalising Areas through Planning, Investment and Development, is a focused initiative by Government to front-load national development plan funding and improve the delivery of services in the 45 most disadvantaged areas in the country. As none of the proposals from the areas in question fall within the remit of the Department of Foreign Affairs, there are no staff in this Department engaged in this programme.
