Ceist:165 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he has had talks with the American Government on the status of Irish young people in America that are illegal there; if he has made progress in relation to trying to legalise these people in America; if discussions have taken place in this regard; if the Government is actively trying to get an amnesty in place for Irish people living illegally in the US, particularly those who have lived in the US for many years; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
