131 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education and Science if a person (details supplied) in County Mayo with special needs, can receive financial assistance towards the cost of their special needs teaching at home; the help available for this person from his Department; and if a Department official will contact this person or their parents. My Department has no record of having received an application for special needs teaching at home, or home tuition, in this case. However, my officials will contact the family in question to clarify the position.
