211 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism the number of staff employed by his Department; the bodies within its aegis which are covered by the benchmarking agreement; the projected costs in 2004 of paying this award; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21648/03]

The core number of staff employed by my Department including the National Museum, the National Library and the National Archives is 454.

The bodies within my Department's aegis which are covered by the benchmarking agreement include Fáilte Ireland, Tourism Ireland Limited, Irish Sports Council, Irish Museum of Modern Art, The Arts Council, Irish Film Board, Music Board of Ireland, National Concert Hall, Chester Beatty Library, Shannon Development (Tourism).

The projected cost of benchmarking in 2004 for my Department and its bodies is estimated at approximately €1.95 million.
