218 Mr. Kehoe asked the Minister for Health and Children the additional number of public servants who will be recruited to enforce and administer the proposed smoking ban; the total cost to the Exchequer arising from the proposed ban; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21697/03]

Decisions in regard to arrangements to enforce and administer the proposed environmental tobacco smoke regulations will be finalised in the context my Department's Vote for 2004. It is not possible at this stage to supply the information sought by the Deputy.
