219 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children when a medical card will be restored in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who submitted a review form some time ago; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21765/03]
Responsibility for the provision of a medical card is, by legislation, a matter for the chief executive officer of the relevant health board or health authority. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer of the South-Eastern Health Board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
