Ceist:266 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Education and Science if home tuition can be increased to ten hours for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21922/03]

I can confirm that my Department sanctioned seven hours home tuition per week for the person in question from September to the end of December 2003, subject to review within this period. This allocation equates to the level sanctioned for the 2002-03 school year. It is open to the family to appeal my Department's decision and further consideration will be given to the matter.
