337 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the amount of funding made available to coastal counties for coastal erosion works in 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22138/03]
I have set out hereunder total expenditure on coastal protection projects for the years 1995 to 2002 and the Exchequer cost for each year. Coastal local authorities provide 25% of the total cost of works funded within their areas of responsibility.
