Vol. 572 No. 2

Written Answers. - Nursing Homes.

Seymour Crawford

Ceist:

168 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Health and Children further to Parliamentary Question No. 283 of 1 October 2003, if it is possible to give a clearer definition of the way in which a person will be treated in a nursing home in Northern Ireland, having worked there all their life but now resident south of the Border; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22767/03]

As the provision of nursing home treatment in Northern Ireland does not come within the remit of my Department, I suggest that the Deputy contact the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety in Northern Ireland which, I understand, is the appropriate authority to be contacted in this instance. The DHSSPS is located at Castle Buildings, Stormont, Belfast, BT 4 3SJ. Its telephone number is 028 90520500.
